“Why would Caroline like Damon?”

#this had to be made #so many people are saying caroline has every right to hate damon #because of what he done to her at the very beginning of season one #and it’s ridiculous that people can’t understand character development #every character has done some fucked up shit to others #but it’s all about redemption #if damon continued to treat caroline like a piece of dirt on her shoe #she would have every right to not approve of him #but the fact that over the past four seasons #damon has saved caroline’s life multiple times #put her life above his own #stood up for her #he’s shown his compassion #the fact that he cares #he’s not the guy she once dated #and I can understand that being a hard thing to get over #and some people will argue that that’s enough reason for her to hate him no matter what #but I completely disagree #because you don’t understand the concept of a character redeeming themselves #and I feel sorry for you because you’ll never be able to appreciate what a wonderful character damon is
